Water Storage
Engineered modular tanks in two sizes, 25,000 and 40,000 barrels. Panels are set with a telehandler, not a crane, so storage is ready on location in a published 4–6 hours.
Overview
Storage sized to the job, set in hours.
Large-volume water storage on location is one of the most effective ways to support a completion. Operators use large tanks as a lower-cost alternative to fleets of smaller tanks during hydraulic fracturing, consolidating water into fewer, bigger vessels that are simpler to fill, monitor and draw from.
Hydro Towers was formed in 2013 to meet exactly that need. Our modular panel tank is fully engineered, built to be set quickly with equipment already common on location, and available in two sizes, 25,000 and 40,000 barrels, so the tank matches the water your job needs.
Capabilities
What water storage includes.
- 01
Two tank sizes
Two published sizes, 25,000 and 40,000 barrels, built from the same modular panel system. Choose the size that fits the volume your operation needs.
- 02
Set without a crane
Hydro Towers panels are designed to be set with a telehandler. That cuts set time to a published 4–6 hours and was chosen specifically to improve safety on location.
- 03
Engineered lines
Fill and suction lines are stainless steel for durability, designed for efficient water flow and minimal residual water when the job is done.
- 04
Set-up and tear-down
Our operations team handles on-site set-up and tear-down, with the attention to detail that keeps each installation consistent.
- 05
500 bbl tanks
Smaller 500 bbl tanks are also available to supplement large-volume storage where the job calls for them.
How it works
From delivery to full.
- 01
Plan the volume
We help you choose the 25,000 or 40,000 bbl tank for the water your job requires.
- 02
Set the panels
Panels are placed with a telehandler. No crane is mobilised for the set.
- 03
Connect the lines
Stainless steel fill and suction lines are installed for efficient flow in and out.
- 04
Fill and operate
The tank is ready to receive water from transfer lines or trucks.
- 05
Tear down
When the job is complete, our operations team takes the tank down and removes it from location.
